Dog Days of Summer

The “Dog Days of Summer” Dog Photo Contest is a 12-week social media-based celebration of the dogs who make Zilker Park one of Austin's most cherished gathering places. Each week, one winning dog will take home prizes and earn a featured spot in Zilker 351's 2027 Dogs of Zilker Park Calendar. Proceeds from calendar sales will support projects that protect and enhance the ecological health of Zilker Park.

Who we are

Every acre, for every one.

Located in the heart of Austin along Lady Bird Lake and only two miles from downtown, Zilker Metropolitan Park is home to some of Austin's greatest treasures. Zilker 351 is the nonprofit dedicated to stewarding it for current and future generations.

Our work centers on caring for the park's ecological health, ensuring equitable access, and telling its inclusive history. The Austin Parks and Recreation (APR) manages and operates the park itself.

Caring for the land beneath the fun.
